On April 29, 2025, BJ Casey, the Christina L. Williams Professor of Neuroscience, was elected to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS), one of the highest honors in American science. At Barnard, Professor Casey directs the Fundamentals of the Adolescent Brain (FAB) Lab, where she leads research exploring the neural underpinnings of behavior during adolescence. She also contributes to interdisciplinary initiatives as a member of the Justice Collaboratory at Yale Law School, examining the intersection of neuroscience and law.
