Open Access Student Computer Labs
The computers and printers in the Barnard Student Computer Labs are available only to current Barnard and Columbia undergraduate students and faculty. Barnard College uses the PawPrint Printing System provided by Columbia University, so any student can print to any printer on both campuses.
The Diana Center Computer Lab
Our Student Computing office is located in the Diana Center computer lab, room 307. The computer lab is accessible during the same hours as the Diana Center is open with swipe access. If there are any problems accessing the lab with your ID, visit Public Safety on the first floor of Barnard Hall.
In the Diana Center computer lab, students have access to:
- 30 Dell PCs, running Windows 10 64-bit
- 6 Macs, running macOS High Sierra 10.13
- 3 B&W printers with PawPrint release stations
- 1 Color printer with PawPrint release station
- 2 Scanning stations, one Dell and one Mac
Quad Computer Labs
Both of these labs are located in the basement level of Sulzberger Hall in the Quad and are available to all Barnard Students with 24 hour access.
Quad Lab A
- 9 Dell PCs, running Windows 10 64-bit
- 4 Macs, running macOS High Sierra 10.13
- 2 B&W printers with PawPrint release stations
- 1 Scanning station on a PC
- Wireless Access Point to Barnard Secure and Barnard Guest
Quad Lab B
- 25 Dell PCs, running Windows 10 64-bit
- 1 B&W printer with PawPrint release station
- Wireless coverage to Barnard Secure and Barnard Guest
Plimpton Computer Lab
Located on the first floor of the Plimpton Residence Hall at 120th St. and Amsterdam Ave, the Plimpton lab is available for use by all Barnard students with 24 hour access.

616 Computer Lab
Located on the first floor of 616 Residence Hall at 616 W. 116th St. users have access to:

- 1 Scanning station on a PC
- 2 B&W printers with PawPrint release stations
Elliott Printer
Located on the first floor of Elliott Residence Hall at Claremont St. users have access to:

Paw Print Printing

PawPrint Printing is provided to Barnard College by Columbia University and allows all Barnard and Columbia students to print anywhere on either campus to a PawPrint Release station.

All students receive a free printing quota of 100 pages per week plus 100 additional pages per semester. For more detailed information, go here.

Lab Maintenance Hours
From 4am to 5am every Sunday each week, the computers in all on-campus labs are unavailable so that they can be updated. During lab maintenance hours, student data on the D: drive will be deleted.
