Bianca Waked

Bianca Waked (any/all) is a feminist philosopher working at the intersections of social and political philosophy and social ontology, with a focus on the ethics of modality and the material consequences of our modal landscapes. Their forthcoming article, “Counterfactual Bodies, Ableism, and Oppression as Possibilia” explores a novel dimension of ableism through the lens of pernicious counterfactual imaginings. Their current research investigates how possibilities have been weaponized to impermissibly limit Canadian First-Nations, Métis, and Inuit rights. This upcoming Fall, they will be teaching “Philosophy and Feminism.”
