Sarah Ann Anderson-Burnett, MD, PhD, FAAP, serves as Assistant Vice President of Health & Wellness, where she leads the College’s integrated medical and mental health services. A board-certified pediatrician and adolescent and young adult medicine specialist, she earned her MD and PhD in addiction neuroscience from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and is a proud graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana, a historically Black university whose mission of service, leadership, and social justice continues to shape her leadership. Her leadership focuses on advancing student well-being through clinical excellence, quality improvement, reproductive health, trauma-informed practice, equitable access to care, and community-centered initiatives. She is committed to building health systems that promote dignity, foster informed decision-making, strengthen individual agency, and create the conditions for individuals and communities to thrive.
