Hadley Suter
Term Lecturer of French
Hadley Suter earned her B.A. in French from Barnard and her Ph.D. in French & Francophone Studies from UCLA. In addition to language classes, she has developed and taught a new literature course for the French Department called Women of the Left Bank. Her first book, Becoming Stendhal: The Performance of Authenticity and the Making of a Novelist, is forthcoming with University of Virginia Press. Apart from her scholarly work, she has written for several arts and culture publications including T: The New York Times Style Magazine, The Brooklyn Rail, Cultured Magazine, and the Los Angeles Review of Books.
