Each meeting features a prominent proponent and a prominent critic of capitalism. This reading group will focus on exploring the best arguments for and best arguments against capitalism. Iconic figures, including Thomas More, Bernard Mandeville, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, David Hume, Adam Smith, Karl Marx, Milton Friedman, and Herbert Marcuse, will be featured. |

Culture wars have reached a fever pitch, posing “an existential threat to democracy,” according to Americans across the political spectrum.
