Spring Awakening: Creative Collaborations & New Beginnings

As we step into the spring semester, we’re thrilled to continue building on the creative energy and exciting collaborations that began last fall. We’ve had the privilege of working with our 2024-2025 Student Artist-in-Residence cohort (SAiRs), whose projects have sparked meaningful discussions and creative breakthroughs. Our SAiRs have the option of hosting public showings of their research -- keep updated with our socials for these events! 

Katherine Fisher has just completed her intensive work in the lab during the winter. We are excited to welcome new Artists-in-Residence --  Hope Hutman and the Rashuan Mitchell + Silas Riener team -- who will bring fresh ideas to our community. 

Classes + Pop-Up Events = A Season of Discovery

In Spring 2025, we are offering space to the Dance Department course, Movement Analysis. Taught by Catherine Haber, a Barnard alumni and the MSC/ MFA Dance Science Programme Leader at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London. We are excited to collaborate with a variety of academic centers and courses to create performance, talks, and workshops.

Recurring Programming: Open Lab and Stillness Lab

Whether you're working on your own project or simply want to immerse yourself in a space for exploration, our "Open Lab" times are perfect for independent research and creative practice. Please check our calendar for "Open Lab" times, when our doors are available for walk-ins. If you’re looking for a more meditative and reflective space, don’t miss our "Stillness Lab" every Wednesday from 1 - 2 PM — a calm, focused environment for creative pause and reflection.
