The Pre-Baccalaureate Program

Earn College Credit at Barnard

Pursue an academic interest through undergraduate coursework on Barnard’s New York City campus. The Pre-Baccalaureate Program invites high school students to learn with Barnard faculty alongside undergraduates, engaging in the assignments and discussions of a college course.

This commuter-only program offers experience balancing classroom participation with independent work. As you deepen your understanding of a subject, you’ll practice managing the responsibilities of college study. Upon successful completion, you’ll earn college credit, a letter grade, and the option to request an official transcript.
