On October 23, the Barnard community was brimming with excitement for Giving Day 2019, the online movement that brings our global family together for 24 hours of paying it forward to the next generation of bold, brilliant, Barnard women.
Since Barnard launched The Bold Standard: A Campaign for Barnard in 2016, the largest and most ambitious fundraising endeavor of the College’s history, the community and campus have grown in many ways.
On April 30, 2019, Barnard alumnae, students, friends, and family gathered at the Plaza Hotel in New York City for the College’s Annual Gala.
Barnard raised nearly $750,000 on Giving Day 2018, Columbia University's 24-hour online fund drive.
The event also honored Trustees Jolyne Caruso-FitzGerald ’81, Nina Ansary ’89 P’19, and Nancy A. Garvey ’71.

On Tuesday, May 2, 2017, more than 400 alumnae and friends of Barnard College gathered at the annual Gala at the historic Plaza Hotel to benefit student financial aid and honor Diana T. ’55 and P. Roy Vagelos, M.D., P&S ’54 for their more than three decades of service and philanthropy to the College.
