Summer Session at Barnard

Barnard College’s Summer Session invites Barnard and Columbia students, as well as visiting students from other colleges and universities to spend part of their summer in New York City earning credit. Courses are offered as 3‑credit or 4‑credit classes taught in person by Barnard faculty across a variety of disciplines. Each course runs during a six‑week term known as Summer A or Summer B, giving students the flexibility to enroll in one session or both.

Session A: May 25 – July 3, 2026

Session B: July 6 – August 14, 2026

Barnard & Columbia Student Registration

Barnard and Columbia students register for summer courses through SSOL. Once course sections are available, Barnard students must register for Section 001 and Columbia students for Section 002.
