If your guest is 17 years or younger, you’ll need to fill out a Minor Guest Permission Request Form, which must be submitted at least 48 business hours in advance of a campus visit. Please review our Guest Policies for more information about sign-in procedures, limits on the number of overnight guests, and expected conduct.

For a lost ID, we recommend visiting the ID center located on the first floor of Kent Hall (1140 Amsterdam Avenue) on Columbia University’s main campus. There is a $20 fee associated with printing a new ID (credit cards and Apple Pay accepted). If the ID was physically taken, please contact the Response Team at CARESResponseinfo@barnard.edu or by phone at 212-854-3362 to immediately remove access.
CARES maintains a lost and found at Barnard in Elliot Hall (49 Claremont Avenue). Sometimes items are also kept at the front desks of building locations before being turned into Elliot Hall, so you should also check with those areas. If you’ve lost or found an item, fill out our online form so it can be returned to the rightful owner.
The fastest way to get a ride is to download the Evening Shuttle app and create an account. You can also call 646-692-0576. A dispatcher will respond as quickly as possible but, due to call volume, it may take a few minutes to receive a response. Additionally, please note that the hours for Corner-to-Corner and Door-to-Door services within the coverage area vary depending on the time of year. Those hours are listed and kept up to date here. We recommend always checking the Evening Shuttle app to see the most accurate proposed wait times.
The CARES Response Team can perform wellness checks on individuals upon request. Please contact the Response Team at CARESResponseinfo@barnard.edu or 212-854-3362.
The Residential Life & Housing’s page on Keys & Lock Changes explains what to do if you’ve been locked out of your room or suite, a key has become broken/stuck in the lock, or you’ve lost your key.
