Exploring Barnard
Barnard Student Admissions Representatives (BSARs) are current Barnard students who lead campus tours and assist in the Office of Admissions. Find out more about them here and feel free to connect with them!
Choosing the right path is a big step in the application process. Whether you are applying Early Decision (ED), Regular Decision (RD), or as a transfer or visiting student, the first step is to learn more about the application processes. We accept applications for all applicants through the Common Application, and Questbridge, for first-year applicants only.
If you are a student and would like to receive further information and invitations to upcoming events, please join our mailing list.

Paying for Your Education
A Barnard education supercharges your intellectual growth, your personal transformation, and the likelihood that you’ll change the world, so we’re determined to make it a realistic option for you, regardless of your family finances.
Your application to Barnard is more than a list of accomplishments — it’s a reflection of your story, your voice, and your potential. The most compelling applications come from students who show us what they care about, how they’ve grown, and why college matters to them.
Access and Support Programs
Barnard has multiple programs to help first-generation and low-income students flourish here. The beautiful result: a community of women that represents the city, the country, the world.
"I have never witnessed more smiles, passionate conversations, and heartwarming interactions than I have during my time at Barnard. Being able to show prospective students and families this magical place as a Student Admissions Representative brings me more joy than I can put into words. I will forever cherish Barnard for instilling in me a desire to be a lifelong learner and bringing me friendships that will extend far beyond the gates of campus."
