Summer 2025 Tuition and Fees

Payment Dates and Procedures

All students (Barnard, Columbia, and visiting students) who register for Summer classes will receive an e-bill in late April or early May. Barnard students can submit electronic payments (e-checks or credit/debit card payments) via the Bursar Student Account Center. Columbia and Visiting students should make their payment through the CU and Visiting Payment Portal. Students can also send their check payments to Barnard College, Bursar’s Office, 3009 Broadway, New York, NY 10027. The payment deadline is May 22 for Summer A and July 6 for Summer B.

***Barnard is not processing federal loans for Summer 2026. Please reach out to the Financial Aid office for additional information regarding private loans.***

Summer 2026 Refund Policies

Summer Refund Policy:

By registering for classes or completing a housing application for Summer 2026, a student is legally obligated to pay for those services. Barnard’s refund policy for tuition is as follows for Barnard, Columbia, Pre-Baccalaureate, and Visiting students:

• Withdrawal from Summer courses before the start of the term: If a student withdraws before the beginning of the Summer term (on or before May 25 for Session A or July 5 for Session B), the student will not incur any tuition charges.
• Withdrawal from Summer courses during the first week of class for each session: If a student withdraws during the first week, tuition charges will be fully refunded, provided the student has dropped the course on or before May 29 by contacting the Registrar's Office. Nonpayment does not constitute withdrawal from the class.
• Withdrawal after May 30 for Summer A and July 11 for Summer B: No refund.
• Summer Housing: Summer Housing Cancellation forms and fees are available on the Residential Life website.
• Summer Dodge Center Fee: No refund will be issued on the Summer Dodge Center Fee starting the first day of the student’s summer enrollment.

Faculty-Led Programs:

Barnard students participating in the Faculty-led Programs will receive their e-bill in April. The payment deadline is May 18, 2026. Student attending the Faculty-led programs may remit their payments through the Faculty-led Tuition Payment.
