The anniversary celebration will take place in Milstein 102 on February 3rd, 2023 at 4 PM! The event will feature a panel on engaged pedagogy, a combined student + faculty panel discussing their experiences in teaching/taking empirical courses, and a keynote to be followed by a reception.  The first panel on Community Engaged Data will feature Professor Premilla Nadasen from the History department and Fatima Koli, the Senior Associate Director of the ERC. The second panel on Empirical Reasoning across Barnard's Curriculum will feature Professor Gergely Baics from the History department, Claire Goldberg CC’21 (Urban Studies), Professor Katherine Krimmel from the Political Science department, and Panu Hejmadi BC'24 (English & Political Science). The keynote will be given by Miram Posner, a digital humanities scholar from UCLA who is interested in labor, race, feminism and the history of data. We will have an interactive data activity and a map themed cake to mark the occasion! Doors will open at 3:30pm and attendees can grab refreshments before the event begins at 4:00 pm. The anniversary celebration will take place in Milstein 102 on February 3rd, 2023 at 4 PM! The event will feature a panel on engaged pedagogy, a combined student + faculty panel discussing their experiences in teaching/taking empirical courses, and a keynote to be followed by a reception.
