Barnard believes that every area of your health — physical, mental, sexual, and emotional — is linked. Feel Well, Do Well @ Barnard is a campus-wide initiative that integrates the core principle of your wellness, your way to set the standard of what health and wellness can look like on a 21st-century college campus.

Research shows that social connectedness has positive impacts on cognition, motivation, and overall health. Through training and activities, Feel Well, Do Well @ Barnard enhances social connectedness, recognizing that each member of our community has a role to play in creating a supportive environment.
Feel Well, Do Well @ Barnard is focused on addressing disparities across campus for students, especially those having nondominant identities. We are using a culturally sensitive approach to investigate and address how inequity of access to services influences performance inside and outside of the classroom.
The health and safety of our community is our top priority as we adapt during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we must all recognize that this is a shared responsibility as members of the Barnard community. Below are the measures our community is taking to ensure a safe and healthy environment:

Therapy, support groups, Listening Hours, medication, crisis management, and after-hours emergency coverage are available to offer you 24/7 assistance in maintaining your emotional health and balance.
We help smart students make smart choices when it comes to using alcohol and other substances.
Self-care and community care go hand in hand. Our biofeedback program and outreach resources are geared toward improving wellness for the individual and the greater Barnard community.
Wellness is an integral component of learning. We seek to help students achieve their academic and developmental potential while at Barnard.
Specially trained Barnard students volunteer to provide information, conduct outreach, and engage in advocacy to support health and wellness.
Barnard College’s violence prevention program explores wellness, healthy relationships, social identities and social power, intervention, and violence education.
