Interwoven Motion: Bridging Choreographic Worlds with AI
Student Artist-in-Residence Anagha Guliam presents: Interwoven Motion: Bridging Choreographic Worlds with AI
Thursday, April 11th | 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Trained in Bharatanatyam, Anagha is interested in the intricate tapestry of emotion and self-expression woven through movement. During her residency at the Movement Lab, she is exploring the potential for technology, particularly AI, as a vehicle for nurturing empathy and fostering reconnection with our inner selves, each other, and the world at large through dance. In an interactive installation, Anagha invites dancers of all backgrounds and levels to play with a collaborative choreographic process using an AI intermediary.
Come join!
Doors open at 6:00 PM and MeMoSa begins at 6:30 PM
Capacity in the lab is capped at 40 audience members. Attendees who have RSVP'd before the event will have priority, and admission will be determined on a first come first serve basis on arrival. If you RSVP before the event but you arrive late, we reserve the right to give your spot to someone on the waitlist.
Attendees who have not RSVP'd will be put on a standby waitlist if they arrive in-person before the event.
Anagha Guliam is a senior at Barnard College majoring in Medical Anthropology. Trained in Bharatanatyam, she is interested in the ways in which emotion and self-expression are filtered through formal movement. During her residency, she is exploring whether technology, particularly AI, has any potential as a medium for empathy and re-connection with ourselves, each other, and the world around us.
