Requirements to Attend In-Person Events
In order to prioritize the health and safety of our community as the pandemic continues, the following requirements are in place for family members who wish to attend events in person during Family Weekend 2021.
1. Proof of Vaccination
In-person attendees are required to be vaccinated. Proof of vaccination must be uploaded when registering for in-person events.
Acceptable forms of documentation include: a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) COVID-19 vaccine card; a World Health Organization (WHO) vaccine booklet; documentation provided by a healthcare provider/organization/country; or screenshots of government-issued passes such as New York State’s Excelsior Pass.
2. Negative Test Result
In-person attendees are required to upload proof of a negative COVID-19 test result to attend events on campus. This can be either:
- A PCR test taken no more than three days prior to the event (i.e., October 12 or later); or
- An antigen test taken no more than one day prior to the event (i.e., October 14 or later).
If you have registered to attend in-person events, please upload your required proof of negative COVID-19 test at your earliest convenience: Family Weekend 2021 Test Upload Form.
Attendees are required to secure their own tests.
The following are a list of some options for both PCR and antigen testing in New York City: NYC Health + Hospitals, LabQ, Carecube, and ClearMD. In addition, both at-home PCR tests and low-cost antigen tests are currently widely available for online purchase in the US, including through Walgreens. These suggestions are not an endorsement by the College.
3. Daily Health Attestation
In-person attendees are required to complete a health attestation each day they plan to come to campus.
The links to each health attestation form will be shared on Friday and Saturday mornings along with the links to the virtual events that day.
4. Wear a Face Covering
All in-person Family Weekend attendees are required to wear a face covering at all times, except when actively eating or drinking.
We will continue to monitor the pandemic and local public health guidance closely. Any changes to on-campus events will be communicated as early as possible.
