Annual Gala 2014

Alumnae and friends of Barnard College gathered at New York’s Plaza Hotel in April to benefit the College’s financial-aid program, and to honor Dorothy Urman Denburg ’70 and Constance Hess Williams ’66, who both received the Frederick A. P. Barnard Award. Nina Rennert Davidson ’95 and Cheryl Glicker Milstein ’82 P ’14 served as the event’s cochairs; Mai Eldib ’08, a consultant at Sotheby’s, acted as the auctioneer for scholarships. Close to $2.5 million was raised for scholarships. “For many of our students, scholarship aid makes the dream of attending Barnard a reality,” said Barnard President Debora L. Spar. “The support we receive from alumnae, families, and friends is truly invaluable.”
