Gala raises scholarship funds and celebrates honorees

Gala Co-Chairs Nina Rennert Davidson ’95 and Cheryl Glicker Milstein ’82, P ’14 toasting the honorees

More than 400 alumnae and friends of Barnard College gathered for the Annual Gala at the historic Plaza Hotel, which raised more than $13 million to benefit student financial aid. Trustees Nina Rennert Davidson ’95 and Cheryl Glicker Milstein ’82, P’14 hosted the evening and served as co-chairs. The event also honored Diana T. ’55 and Roy Vagelos, M.D., ’54 P&S with the Frederick A.P. Barnard Award for more than three decades of service and philanthropy to the College. During the evening, Dr. Vagelos surprised Diana with a $10 million endowed gift for financial aid, as part of  The Bold Standard: A Campaign for Barnard. This is the largest single endowment gift to financial aid in the College’s history.
