Adam Lutz

Administrative Assistant for the Partnerships & Employee Relations team at Beyond Barnard

Adam Lutz is the Administrative Assistant for the Partnerships & Employee Relations team at Beyond Barnard, where he started in April 2024. Originally from Portage, Michigan, Adam holds a Master of Music degree in Music Composition & Theory from NYU Steinhardt.  Adam also earned a Bachelor of Music from Belmont University where he double majored in music composition and music theory, and minored in philosophy.  Before joining the Barnard family, he was the manager of a New York City tap room.

What was your first job?

While my first full-time job was managing a tap room here in New York City, my first paid position harkens back to my roots as a Midwesterner, where, at the ripe old age of twelve, I spent summers corn detasseling. 

What’s important to you in life outside of work?

Music has always and will always have a central role in my life. When I am not at work I can be found in my home studio, working on film scores, modular synthesizers, or audio-visual collaborations.
