2023 Barnard BOLD Conference

Join us for an exciting day of generative sessions facilitated by Barnard students, faculty, and staff that engage with a variety of important topics and themes related to teaching and learning. These include sessions on public humanities, encountering "difficult texts" in the classroom, trauma-informed approaches to teaching, media literacy, digital humanities, accessibility and assessment design, study strategies, and more! We will conclude the conference with a special dialogue in celebration of the 5th anniversary of the Bold Conference. Shreya Sunderram BC ‘19 will be joined by Barnard faculty Thea Abu El-Haj & Yvette Christiansë from 4:30-6:00PM to reflect on the beginning of the Bold Conference and its continuing legacy. All conference sessions will take place on Friday March 31, 2023 in the Milstein Library Lower Level, except for "Media Literacy, Critical Pedagogy, and BIPOC Punks," which will be held in the Barnard Zine Library. Note: You do not have to attend all sessions or attend for a full day of sessions. RSVP to any sessions of your choosing. Presented by the Barnard Center for Engaged Pedagogy.
