Daniella Moffson ’17

Danielle Moffson, a psychology major who dreamed of becoming a pediatric oncologist, died in a bus accident while volunteering in Honduras over winter break. Moffson was on a trip sponsored by Global Brigades, a student-led volunteer organization.

Moffson grew up in Manhattan and took a gap year in Israel, where she studied and volunteered with children. At Barnard, she was involved with Hillel. Ariella Spievack ’17, Moffson’s roommate during their first year, recalled, “Our little room, with zero sunlight, somehow always felt bright with Daniella’s presence.”
