Jessi Bernice Dietrich ’16

Jessi Bernice Dietrich ’16 who was from Naples, Fla., died in March. She was a pre-med psychology major and had a strong love of animals, serving as vice president of Columbia’s Pre-Vet Society. Her interests included science, art, and Asian culture and languages—she studied both Chinese and Japanese.

“Jessi loved Barnard College and the experience of being surrounded by intelligent, thoughtful, educated women and men, and the experiences and culture of New York City,” says her mother, Patrice Shields.
