Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that Sandra Goldmark, Associate Professor of Professional Practice and Director of Campus Sustainability and Climate Action at Barnard College, has been appointed into the role of Senior Assistant Dean of Interdisciplinary Engagement for the Columbia Climate School, effective July 1, 2022.

In this role Sandra will build cross-cutting initiatives to develop the Climate School’s capacity for transdisciplinary collaboration, cultivate engagement across the University, and incubate and accelerate projects in alignment with the School’s three pillars of research, education, and impact. Dedicated to fostering the skills and capacities that students, researchers, faculty, and staff will need to carry out the mission of the school, she will support radical collaboration across the Climate School and with partner schools and departments.

Sandra will continue to serve as Associate Professor of Professional Practice and Director of Campus Sustainability and Climate Action at Barnard College. We look forward to continuing to collaborate with our colleagues at Barnard to expand interdisciplinary climate programming across the University.
