Past Summer Grant Recipients
Summer Grant Recipient Archive
Each summer, the biology department offers grants for student research outside of NYC with the help of the Donald and Nancy Ritchie, Edna Henry Bennett, Maura Shannon Barrett, and Herbert Maule Richards funds. Each summer grant recipient writes three blog posts over the course of the summer, sharing their experience. This page contains an archive of posts from past recipients. For more about summer research grants, view the Undergraduate Research page.

2021
Each year, our department funds innovative summer research projects thanks to the Donald and Nancy Ritchie, Edna Henry Bennett, Maura Shannon Barrett, and Herbert Maule Richards grants. Students submit proposals for projects along with a student grant budget worksheet. Here, we introduce this year's recipients of these grants and their summer projects: Hannah Prensky, Tamima Sultana, Isabella Villa Real Seabra, and Vivian Zhao. This summer, they will write three blog posts to update us on how their summer research is going.
