How is public interest technology defined?
Public interest technology refers to the study and application of technology expertise to advance the public interest, generate public benefits, and promote the public good.
Interdisciplinary by nature, technology expertise refers to a set of capabilities to create, apply, study, and use new technologies and an understanding of the core ethical, legal, policy, and societal dimensions of technological change.
What is PIT-UN?
PIT-UN is a fiscally sponsored project of the New Venture Fund (NVF), a 501(c)(3) public charity that supports innovative and effective public interest projects, such as Tech for Change Hackathons, Regional Hubs, Working Groups, and more.
