Lord Kelvin Adam Smith (LKAS) PhD Scholarships

The prestigious Kelvin Smith PhD Scholarships support outstanding researchers, in the early stages of their careers, who have the potential to become leaders in their chosen fields, for research at the University of Glasgow. The Scholarships offer the opportunity for outstanding research students both from home and abroad to participate in some of the most exciting areas of research taking place at Glasgow whilst developing their research skills. During October each year researchers from across the University submit project proposals, from which 4 from each of the 4 Colleges (16 in total) are selected to be advertised to potential doctoral students. Of these, 8 scholarships are generally awarded, based on the excellence of both the project and the selected candidate.
