SPARK :: On Stonewall
In honor of LGBTQ history month and Barnard's Queer Awareness month, this October join Barnard's Artemis Rising Foundation Filmmaker Fellow, Sekiya Dorsett, for a screening of her documentary, Stonewall 50: The Revolution, followed by a panel discussion on the connections/divergences between LGBTQ activism and the Civil Rights Movement.
Panelists will include Brooke Sopelsa, Editorial Director of NBC Out, and Jah Elyse Sayers, LGBTQ researcher and activist, as well as other guests.
This SPARK event is being held in partnership with Barnard's Film Program. The theme of SPARK in 2022-23 is protest.
This event is free and open to the public.
