Description
We will focus on broad trends in American politics– particularly affective polarization whereby partisans increasingly dislike each other, and a more nationalized political ecosystem fueled by social media and cable news. The presentation will consider the causes of these trends and their implications for governance in a multi-racial democracy. (Offered in the morning and afternoon on April 20.)
