Global Perspectives on U.S. Elections (June 22)
Description
Explore the multifaceted landscape of the American elections. Delve into the international perceptions and interests from key regions– Europe, Russia, China, and the Middle East. Explore the very different foreign policy visions, priorities, and likely platforms of the candidates, and consider how domestic American political actors on the right have steadily fostered transnational networks with counterparts in Europe to oppose the centrality of transatlantic institutions (European Union, NATO) in foreign and security policy and advocate for illiberal values on a global level. (Offered in the morning and afternoon on June 22.)
