Barnard|Next Explorers Series: Spring 2024
About Barnard|Next's Explorers Series
In Spring 2024, Barnard|Next's inaugural Explorers Series will bring together faculty, Barnard alumnae, family members of current Barnard students, and other friends of the College. Registrants will have access to a 3-Saturday series of breakout sessions (on April 20, May 18, and June 22), panel conversations, and opportunities to connect and network with one another. All participants will attend faculty-led lectures and discussion on two topics of their choice on:
- Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science
- Democracy and the 2024 American Elections
- The Vitality of the Humanities
Building connections across disciplines, industries, interests, and generations will be an incredibly important part of the Barnard|Next experience. Participants will attend networking meals: breakfasts, lunches, afternoon tea, and plenary sessions featuring alumnae experts in their fields. Our ambition is not only to bring together the very best of Barnard to stimulate intensive discussion and debates — but also to bring together a dynamic and powerful community where participants have many opportunities to engage with one another.
A schedule of the events, as well as descriptions of breakout sessions, can be found below. You can register for individual Saturdays! Questions about the inaugural Barnard|Next can be sent to barnardnext@barnard.edu.
