Irene Kronhill Pletka YIVO Research Fellowship

Irene Kronhill Pletka YIVO Research Fellowship is a semester-long research fellowship for students who have taken at least two semesters of Yiddish at Columbia. The Irene Kronhill Pletka YIVO Research Fellowship seeks to enhance the student participation in Yiddish language learning and culture at Columbia University via a research fellowship at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, which will allow students to conduct research at YIVO and thus acquire the necessary skills for future Yiddish scholars and researchers. The Irene Kronhill Pletka YIVO Research Fellowship will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement and Yiddish language aptitude. The stipend amounts to 1,500 USD per fellowship.
