Barnard Ombuds for Faculty and Staff Issues
Judit Revesz, JD, MSOD
Judit Revesz serves as the Ombuds for Barnard's faculty and staff. Judit formerly served as a case officer in the United Nations Office of the Ombudsman for Funds and Programmes, and prior to that, as a consultant in the UN Development Programme. In her role as case officer, she provided impartial and confidential conflict-resolution services for the settlement of employment-related problems for staff members and other personnel. Prior to the UN, Judit worked as a facilitator and organization development consultant for numerous clients and gained experience in large group dynamics and conflict resolution methods.
Originally from Hungary, Judit graduated from ELTE School of Law in Budapest in 1998 and went on to practice litigation and corporate law. She has a master’s degree in organization development from the American University/NTL Institute joint program and completed the program in conflict resolution at Teachers College. Subsequently, she served as a mediator in New York on cases referred by the Small Claims Court.

Barnard Ombuds for Students' Issues with Faculty and/or Staff
DeShaunta Johnson, Ph.D.
DeShaunta Johnson serves as Barnard’s Student Ombuds, in addition to her work as a Staff Psychologist in the Furman Counseling Center. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Dance and Postcolonial Studies from Sarah Lawrence College, and a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from City University of New York. She also served a Predoctoral Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship from Columbia University Counseling and Psychological Service.
Dr. Johnson's professional and research interests include complex trauma, psychology of oppression, restorative justice and liberation psychology, and transgenerational transmission of trauma.
