On July 1, 2022, Sandra Goldmark, associate professor of professional practice in theatre and Director of Campus Sustainability and Climate Action, will start her newly appointed role as Senior Assistant Dean of Interdisciplinary Engagement for the Columbia Climate School. By supporting the innovative research in science, consequences, and human dimensions of climate change, the Columbia Climate School develops and inspires knowledge-based solutions, and educates future leaders for a sustainable planet.

In this role, Goldmark will build cross-cutting initiatives to develop the Climate School’s capacity for transdisciplinary collaboration, cultivate engagement across the University, and incubate and accelerate projects in alignment with the School’s three pillars: research, education, and impact. Dedicated to fostering the skills and capacities that students, researchers, faculty, and staff will need to carry out the School’s mission, she will support radical collaboration across the Climate School and with partner schools and departments.
