Lucy Green (she/her)

Senior Director

Lucy Green is a data storyteller and equity strategist who uses analytics to advance belonging and systemic change. She finds joy in transforming data into visual narratives through tools like Excel and PowerBI, not just to inform but to spark dialogue and action. Her work is grounded in a liberatory approach, shaped by over fifteen years of study in White racial identity development and a deep commitment to understanding structural racism, sexism, and adultism.

Lucy began her career designing youth programs in Boston’s cultural institutions, where she cultivated a passion for empowerment and creating environments where young people could thrive. She brought this ethos to New York City, where she has spent the past eight years applying her analytical skills within educational institutions to drive equity focused decision making.

Across her career, Lucy has championed organizational transformation in diverse settings, including public and charter schools, a museum, a zoo, an education consultancy, and institutions of higher education. Most recently, Lucy was the Managing Director for Strategic Initiatives at Relay Graduate School of Education where she worked to co-create an equity strategy and designed tools that measured progress toward an inclusive organizational culture. She is excited to join Barnard College as the Senior Director for Inclusion and Belonging.

Lucy holds a master’s degree in Sociology and Education Policy from Teachers College at Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boston University. She brings both analytical rigor and a human-centered lens to her work, always striving to make data a tool for liberation, connection, and belonging.
