Join the Sloate Media Center, Department of American Studies, and the Native American Council for a screening of Prey (2022) in Altschul 202 on Tuesday, March 21. A brief reception begins at 6pm followed by the screening at 6:30 and a talk-back with Prey producer Jhane Myers after the film.
Prey takes place in the Comanche Nation, and follows a young woman and fierce warrior named Naru. When a highly-evolved alien predator endangers her camp, Naru fights to protect her people.
Jhane Myers is a producer and artist known for her expertise in and dedication to producing, Native language, Native cultural advising, acting, and fine art. She is a member of the Comanche Nation and Blackfeet Nation. Myers is also known for her work in Monsters of God (2017), Magnificent 7 (2016), and LaDonna Harris: Indian 101 (2014).
