Alexandra Watson

As part of their online "Agents and Editors Recommend" series, Poets and Writers Magazine featured Alexandra Watson, lecturer in the First-Year Writing program, who shared lessons from her experience and recommendations to readers in the literary community. Speaking from her position as co-founder and executive editor of the literary magazine Apogee Journal, Watson revealed her favorite novel and the common qualities shared by all her favorite reads. 

Watson was also featured in the November/December 2020 issue of Poets and Writers. In a roundtable interview titled "The Abundance, Joy, Beauty, Persistence, Power, and Potential of Independent Publishing: A Conversation With Six Black Editors," Watson and other Black members of the publishing community discussed their processes of selecting and forming new works.
