Amgen Scholars U.S. Programs

The Amgen Scholars U.S. Program provides hundreds of selected undergraduate students each summer with the opportunity to engage in science and biotechnology research at some of the nation's leading educational institutions. Amgen Scholars participate in important university research projects, gain hands-on laboratory experience, interact with and receive guidance from faculty members at their host institution, and attend scientific seminars and other professional development events. In addition to a stipend of approximately $4,000, the program includes a mid-summer symposium in California, where students learn firsthand from scientists working in industry and academia as well as from fellow Amgen Scholars from across the country.
