The Office of International Student Services (ISS) at Barnard is dedicated to serving the needs of F-1 and J-1 visa students and also serves as a resource for self-identified international students at the College. ISS provides a wide array of services to new, continuing and visiting international students. The office also develops year-round academic, cultural and social programming and serves as a global resource for the larger Barnard community.
Support for international students is provided by the dean for international students, Wendy Garay. The associate director for international student services, Diana Sousa, is also readily available to assist students as is the senior program assistant, Mark Farrel. Additionally, the office counts on a graduate assistant and a team of global ambassadors to facilitate programming and services.
International Student Services is a unit within the larger Dean of Studies office. ISS can be reached by phone at 212.854.1777 and by email at email@example.com.
