Access Barnard Summer Staff

Eligibility

Students hired as staff members for the Access Barnard Pre-Orientation Program will be provided housing in the Quad starting on Monday, July 28, 2025.

  • Students will be required to move to their Fall 2025 room assignment in mid-August when notified by the College (to facilitate the cleaning of the residence halls).
  • Students who do not have a Fall 2025 room assignment in a Barnard residence hall will need to move out of AB Staff housing by 5pm on Friday, August 8, 2025.

Submit Housing Request Form

  • Log into the Barnard Housing Portal and click "Summer Housing"
  • Select "Special Groups" as the application type.
  • Deadline: 1pm on Monday, April 28, 2025

Summer Housing Before Start of Training

* Note: financial aid is not available for summer housing prior to the start of Access Barnard Staff Training.

Students who wish to live in summer housing before the start of Access Barnard staff training on July 28, 2025, will need to submit an additional application for either "Full Summer" or "Block B only." Summer housing is not automatically provided to any students without applying.

Applying for Block B only

  • Students should choose "Subsidized" as the rate type and write in Access Barnard for their sponsor (they will not need to submit a Summer Sponsor Form).
  • The price for Block B will be prorated to $624.36.

Applying for Full Summer

  • Students would only be charged the Subsidized summer housing rate for the first half of the summer (Block A) if they are meet the criteria for activities during that time period. Otherwise, they would be charged the Standard room rate.
  • $1788.12 = charge for students approved for the Subsidized rate during Block A
  • $3893.12 = charge for students billed the Standard rate for Block A

Students will move from their summer assignment to a room in the Quad to start Access Barnard training on Monday, July 28 (must check out from the summer room by 5pm on Monday, July 28, 2025).

Check-In

Students will check-in to sign for their room keys for the Quad between 9am - 5pm on Monday, July 28, 2025. More information will be emailed to students in mid-July.

Note: students living in summer housing before the start of Access Barnard training will need to move out of their summer room assignment by 5pm on Monday, July 28, 2025.
